Can you believe it’s already February? 😲 Feels like we were just celebrating the New Year! 🎉

So,I was thinking about those resolutions we all made a month ago…If you’re anything like me, some of them might be losing steam….But guess what? That’s totally okay! It’s not about failing…it’s about tweaking our approach….😉

Why Resolutions Often Fizzle Out?

We often set big goals like:

  • “I’m going to lose 10 Kilograms…” 🏋️‍♂️
  • “Building the next big app…” 💡
  • “I’m going to ace all my exams…” 📚

These are awesome aspirations….but sometimes life throws curveballs, and sticking to them becomes tough. Instead of feeling down, maybe we can look at it differently. 🤔

A Fresh Perspective: Focus on Identity

Instead of zeroing in on the end result, what if we thought about who we want to become? Like:

  • Instead of “Building the next big app…” think…”I’m becoming an innovative developer…” 💻
  • Instead of “I want to lose weight…” consider… “I’m someone who makes healthy choices…” 🥗

This way, every little step we take is a nod to our evolving selves. Missed a workout? No biggie. It’s the journey that counts. 💪

Embracing February’s Vibe

January is all about big dreams, but February? It’s about steady, quiet determination. Let’s shift our focus from just the results to enjoying the process and growing along the way….🌱

Here’s a thought….what if we could break down our goals into smaller, focused cycles? That way we can stay energised without feeling overwhelmed….It’s a concept I came across in The 12 Week Year, a book that challenges the idea of annual goals by emphasising more intentional, short-term planning…It’s been a game-changer for me, and might just be the key to making February our most productive month yet.
